So far so good. One thing I've learned: I can't really cook worth a damn. My boyfriend laughed at me and said, what do you mean? I said, I've been relying on the cheeses, the eggs, and the meats for the flavor. Now that none of those foods are present in my diet, I have to rely on my ability to actually season food. And that ability is nonexistent. Whatever. I feel good about what I'm doing. Taste will slowly find it's way in. I made some bean burritos and piled on the guacamole. I think the whole burrito might have been guacamole with a little bit of salsa. I drank a little bit of beer and realized I don't like Belgian-style. I'm learning new things everyday.
I've had this weird flu for the past week and a half. My job required me to travel to Miami this past weekend to film the opening of the Python Challenge. Yup, a hunt for pythons in the Everglades. Go get um. I felt weak and dizzy, but luckily my job is very distracting. There were two hairs in the bedsheets in my hotel room. I was so grossed out I took a picture. I think I should delete that picture... The flu is gone, I think. I have a bad cough and right now I have a headache. But I think that's from the beer. The headache, not the cough.
The boyfriend coaches the college mens ultimate frisbee team. He has practice until 10:30. I'm always bugging him about moving in together. One of these days he'll tell me he's sick of it. I know it's not really what he wants. I mean, this is his last semester of graduate school. For all I know he'll be in the Democratic Republic of Congo next year. Or Washington D.C., or anywhere else in the world. I don't think he'll be here in Tallahassee, living in a two-bedroom with me, getting fed up with vegan food. He's very adventurous, that man. And I love him for it.
Tomorrow's breakfast: Barbara's cereal and almond milk.
Lunch: Chickpea curry with sticky rice.
Dinner: ???
